Dear Vaishnavas,

Keshava Murti Prabhu is a humble Brahmin living in Kyiv. With great enthusiasm, he prepares offerings for Their Lordships, Shri Shri Radha Madhava. His delicious kachoris are well-known among the temple congregation. He is also a skilled lecturer, sharing knowledge about bhakti-yoga at the nama-hatta. Additionally, he serves as a guard, protecting the temple.

His wife has long since passed away, and the community has become his second family. You can often find him at the temple.

Keshava Murti Prabhu is in need of dental treatment, and we are organizing a fundraiser to gather $300 for this purpose.

We have received a heartfelt request from the devotees in Tiraspol, a city in Moldova. Fortunately, this area is not experiencing active conflict; however, the gas supply is linked to the Ukrainian gas transportation system, which no longer receives Russian gas. As a result, the devotees are facing electricity shortages.

In their own words:

“Our community has around 60 devotees. Due to the gas outages, we have installed a solid-fuel boiler and purchased firewood. With the ongoing electricity issues, we need to ensure uninterrupted power for the altar and the Tulasi garden, as well as for the optimal functioning of our heating system and water pumps. We require €2,300 to meet these needs.”

Due to constant missile attacks on the energy infrastructure there is instability in the Kharkiv area power grid. Unfortunately that caused an electrical fault which led to a fire in the house of mataji Anantara Seva and as a result the roof was severely damaged.

The repair costs are $5000. Mataji Anantara Seva and the local ISKCON community have already collected $3000. So our goal is to raise $2000 more to help this single mataji and her elderly mother restore the roof of their house.

Before the war mataji Anantara Seva was known as a dedicated participant of the Kharkiv harinama party.

And for two years now she has been actively serving at our Share Your Care project.

The city of Kherson has been occupied for 5 months, its territory is not under Ukrainian control. The city is right on the south front line. People are forced to evacuate from Kherson via third countries, such as Georgia, as crossing the front line is very dangerous for life.

The city of Kherson was occupied for eight and a half months, and the Kherson temple is still under constant shelling because it is located very close to the Antonov bridge over the Dnipro river. Therefore, even now, 4 months after Kherson was liberated, devotees still do not have access to the temple as there may be mines there. Devotees from Kherson have moved from the city and are now actively engaged in service in different parts of the world.

Only 5 per cent of devotees remain in Kherson, but they are 10 times more active in spreading Krsna consciousness than before. Not a single day passes without some kind of a program: education, kirtan, Sunday feast program and three times a week distributing hot lunches in all parts of the city, accompanied by harinamas and distributing books.

The city residents receive more than 3,000 portions of prasadam every week. And all this is happening on the front line. Explosions are constantly heard in the city. Sometimes projectiles hit places close to where devotees distribute prasad. Here is one of the stories about preaching in Kherson by Niranjana Swami Maharaja.

The Fund has already helped dozens of Kherson residents and their families, and the huge support that people in Kherson receive through the Share Your Care Fund is very important to them.

Hare Krsna, dear devotees. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. My name is Omkarahari das, I am from Ukraine, the town of Melitopol. The town of Melitopol is located in the east of Ukraine, it is a small town which is called the Gates to the Crimea. Right now Melitopol is occupied by the Russian Federation.

Almost all enterprises are closed down. Everyone is jobless, prices for all the groceries are soaring, both for the most necessary ones and absolutely everything. Prices have increased by 3-4 times. However, we meet regularly, we hold Sunday feast programs, namahats. Our main project is Food for Life. This is the project that united the whole yatra. Local devotees gathered together around this project. This project is very much necessary not only for devotees who come, but also for those people who come to us. These are mostly elderly people who have no pension left, they have no social support. The situation is quite difficult for the devotees at present. And all the devotees lost their jobs, they have no social security payments…
