Please Help mataji Valeriia Reunite with Her Family
The war separated her from her family.
… I went abroad at the very beginning of the war, because I lived in Dnipro (a city under Ukrainian control – ed.), and my mother and sister ended up in an occupied city, in Kherson (occupied by the Russian Federation since March 2) and stayed there during the hostilities. For 5 months, my relatives were in Kherson all the time and heard explosions, many times there was no connection with them, they were cut off from the world and had no means of subsistence. Now they have managed to get to the Crimea, but they want to go further to Europe, where they can receive support from the state and my sister go to school. My mother and sister have no money to pay for the journey and need help.
The front line separates Kherson from the territory controlled by Ukraine. Recently, a minibus with people trying to cross the frontline and go to Ukraine came under fire, 3 passengers died, several of them were injured. Mataji Valeria’s mother and sister will have to take a detour to evacuate: from the Crimea, they will have to get to Georgia and from there they will have several transfers till they get to Sweden. The evacuation will cost EUR 1000.
Please help mataji Valeria reunite with her family.
