Please help continue worshiping Sri Sri Radha Madhava in Kyiv.

Because of shelling and severe damage caused to the energy system in Ukraine, the Kyiv temple has large interruptions in electricity supply.

We are fundraising for electric generators and solar panels for Kyiv New Navadvipa temple. The temple is home to Sri Sri Radha Madhava and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai Deities. This is the largest ISKCON temple in Ukraine, a headquarters and an educational center. There is gurukula.

When the hostilities broke out near Kyiv, the Deities were taken out of the city, but recently They have come back. The temple came to life, the devotees of the Kyiv community are so enthused by worshiping their beloved Lords (Ed. only the small Deities so far).

The Temple is home to 15 devotees who are involved in puja and preaching, about 150 Vaisnavas attend the programs.

In the temple, 950 portions of prasadam for the Food for Life program are cooked daily.

Autonomous electricity will help support the Deity worship, cover devotees’ needs in water, warmth, hot food. We are truly grateful to all those who will contribute.

More than 100 devotees are deprived of electricity 8-16 hours a day.

Because the energy system of Ukraine has been severely damaged, the ISKCON New Mayapur center needs autonomous power generators.

Eight months ago, more than 250 Vaisnavas gathered in the educational center “NEW MAYAPURA”, fleeing the horrors and destructions brought on by the war.

Many families have come: with elderly parents and small children, there were also pregnant women. It was hard to believe that life would never be the same again, devotees only had photos of destroyed apartments and burning houses on their phones! Thank God, they have been able to stay alive – the most important thing!

In just a few days, all New Mayapura hotels were filled. Everyone had to change their habits, way of life and social circle. What helped the most throughout this difficult time was the culture that Srila Prabhupada gave us! We are Vaisnavas – this is the main thing that has united us and gave support! The daily temple program from mangala arati to Gaura arati with the greeting of the Deities, the Bhagavatam сlass, the daily routine and planned service streamlined our lives.

In a short time after we came, we managed to arrange education for children of all ages, with classes and “live” communication, along with classes on the Internet.

All this time, worshiping the Deities did not stop for a single day; moreover, in April we welcomed the Kharkiv Gaura Nitai Deities and we worship them on one altar every day with the whole community.

Life in the countryside turned out to be a special success: the local forest provided firewood, there is a spring with clean water, we planted a vegetable garden, and grew many vegetables on our own. The cows provided the entire community with local milk and dairy products, and very soon the fields yielded berries, grains and legumes. Everyone had to work hard, but we clearly realize that in the city so many devotees would not have survived in such good conditions. For some, New Mayapura was a temporary refuge, but more than 100 devotees are still living in the center.

The challenges keep coming. Because of the severe damage caused to Ukraine’s energy system we are deprived of electricity 8-16 hours almost every day. Because of this, it is impossible to do puja, ensure vital functions and sanitary standards.

At the moment, we truly need your support so that we can build an autonomous power supply system.

1. Equipment for biogas unit 1.5 kW. This unit will provide heating for the altar, the greenhouse for Tulasi, and the kitchen operations.
2. An oxen-powered electric generator. We have enough oxen for this purpose and they are properly looked after. We need to buy a generator that transforms their power into electricity. This will make the bulls very useful and will play a huge role in the cow protection program.
3. 1000 liters of fuel.

Forced to be deprived of heating and hot water for 8 hours a day. Brahmacaris living in Chernihiv are asking for help.

We are launching a fundraiser for an inverter with an accumulator which is required for a gas boiler to operate during a power outage.

Chernihiv ISKCON Temple

The Chernihiv yatra was one of the very first yatras in Ukraine. In fact, it has existed since the 1980s. For the last 8 years, the programs have been held in a building located in the city center.

For the first month and a half of the war, the city was under blockade.
Since April 2022, a team of 5 brahmacaris from the Kyiv ISKCON Temple have been living in the temple; they are actively engaged in distributing prasadam. In the backyard of the temple there is a field kitchen equipped with three boilers, 120 liters each. On weekdays, devotees distribute prasadam near the Central Market of Chernihiv as well as in the surrounding villages which suffered from the hostilities the most. Now the temple regularly holds 2 nama-hattas on weekdays, a Saturday morning program for all the devotees in the community, and a Sunday feast program for 20 to 40 people.

Installing an inverter with an accumulator will enable continued use of hot water and the heating system during a power outage. In recent weeks (at the end of October), there are daily outages, averaging 8 hours a day. We are very grateful in advance to those who can help the temple to regularly hold programs and cook prasadam for the Food for Life program during the cold season.

ISKCON Lviv temple, which is a humanitarian hub for devotees, needs an electricity generator.

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

We need the equipment for the temple located in the city of Lviv, not far from the Polish border. Since the beginning of the war, many devotees have had a stopover in our temple, and some have been staying to live in the temple because they have nowhere to go. Although the temple is small, sometimes hundreds of devotees and even family members who are not devotees but travel together with them stay there.

Devotees from other countries have sent humanitarian aid thanks to which we have been able to support everyone who comes to our temple. At a critical time, our “Food for Life” mission distributed up to 3,000 portions daily. At the moment, about 15 devotees from the combat zones are living in the temple, we have all the temple programs every day and up to 100 people gather for the Sunday Feast Program. Also once a week we distribute prasadam via the “Food for Life” mission. Because of the aggressors’ air strikes on electricity infrastructure, we are experiencing power outages. The aggressor intends to destroy even more energy infrastructure and the leadership of large cities is laying the ground for evacuating millions of people in winter, which means there will be many devotees coming to our temple again.

Our heating depends on electricity and the kitchen equipment is also electric although it is possible to cook outside with wood fire. But if there is no electricity, there is no heating, which means that it will be impossible for devotees to stay here. Therefore, we need electricity generators to make sure that heating pumps are operational and we are very grateful to the devotees who responded to this vital need and helped us to purchase this equipment as during the winter period such equipment is crucial.

Please help mataji Lena from Kherson, whose husband was killed on the front line. She has to survive with a 9-month-old baby in a foreign city. Her home town is under occupation. Mataji is diabetic and needs medicine.

I am very grateful to all the devotees from the relief fund. We are a family from Kherson: Prabhu, our 5-month-old baby and me. We were in occupied territory for 2.5 months. Thanks to the help provided by the Fund, we were able to eat, buy diapers for the child, etc., and also we managed to get out of occupied territory (as when the war broke out, Prabhu lost his job and the had no salary to live on).

We fled that place and registered as internally displaced persons in the city of Vinnytsia. In Vinnytsia, Prabhu was conscripted to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May, and in August he was killed fighting on the front line.

I am living now as an internally displaced person with my 9-month-old child in someone else’s dwelling and in a different city.
